Herbal
Balance Program, Inc.
was created by Dr. Oda Halverson based on her
experience of over 20 years in
the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
For more
than two decades, Dr. Halverson has been
providing customized herbal formulas -- designed
to meet individual patient's specific needs --
with great success!
Dr.
Halverson earned her Doctor of Philosophy in
Traditional Chinese Medicine at International
College, Los Angeles, California. She also holds
a Master of Arts in Behavioral Sciences,
Gerontology from California State University at
Dominguez Hills and a Masters of Science in
Acupuncture and Herbology from SAMRA University
of Oriental Medicine, Los Angeles, California.
Dr.
Halverson is an Acupuncturist (LAc), licensed by
the California State Board of Medical Quality
Assurance, a Diplomate in Acupuncture, certified
by the National Commission for the Certification
of Acupuncturists (NCAA). Dr. Halverson is also
certified in the Theory and Philosophy of the
Science of Iridology from Iridologists
International, Escondido, California and has
received a Certification of Completion of
Studies in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the
Oriental Healing Arts Institute, Long Beach,
California.
Having
trained extensively with Master Herbalist, Dr.
Hong-yen Hsu, Dr. Halverson brings a unique
perspective of both scholastic and practical
knowledge to Herbal Balance Program, Inc. She
has also attended the seminars of leading
Chinese Herbologist Subhuti Dharmananda, Ph.D,
director of the Institute for Traditional
Medicine, Portland, Oregon. In 1998, she
traveled to China to consult with leading
Chinese physicians on the use of herbs in
longevity and practiced in a local Chinese
clinic while there.
Dr.
Halverson also travels to Germany annually to
consult with leading physicians in alternative
health care.
